Baby Rosie
Doll by Charlene Solano
from... Hayward,Ca

Rosie is my own design, the cost to make her was $0.00, she is completely made from my husbands
old tee shirt, her inside is from a old pillow, her eyes are buttons and her hair and lashes are from a wig left over from a costume...she is very soft and hug able. She is my first doll that I think is well made and safe enough that I would give her to a little one..... When she was finished I asked my husband what I should name her, He said ,who does she look like? She looks like Baby Rosie...I've only seen pictures on facebook of my new
granddaughter I pray to hold her someday..

Christening Announcement for Baby Rosie....Her Christening Gown was found in a box of
fabric, that I got for free..... She is named after my youngest granddaughter Rosie......
<--- Rosie first pony ride....gettup..the pony was being thrown out so I had the idea to use it as a prop
for my pictures. Here sleeper was made from a old baby blanket. |

Penny is a huggable and adorable 16" baby courtesy of Marilyn Jensen of "Springtime Desing"
It's the end of the day and baby Penny is getting ready for her bath with her rubber ducky. After bath Penny is getting sleepy, the thumb slips into her mouth as she is cuddles her blanket. Finally she is tucked into bed wearing her pink sleeper and cuddling her favourite dolly while reaching out for a good night hug.
Penny is a jointed baby doll made of dark beige doe suede, her bottom is weighted with a bag of glass sand tucked deep inside the polyester stuffing. Penny's features are slightly soft sculpted, the eyes are painted and the hair is a piece of fun fur.
Pattern for the pink sleeper came with the doll pattern.
Penny's 'dolly' is a 6" creation by Kezi Original and part of her "Dollmaker's Angle" pattern.

Rosie
Doll by Gemma Edge
from... STAFFS, England

This is little Rosie, I made her from a Carolee Creations pattern and she has been made from craft velour, she has been filled partly with poly pellets so has a nice weight to her. Rosie likes her little blanket that I knit for her and I made her little crochet hat and her little sewn romper. I am new to doll making but I'm really happy with her sweet little face and her cute little dimples in her arms, legs and little bottom.

ANJA
Doll by Heather Brown

Anja is made from the Nurture Baby pattern, by Molly Jones. She is 14"long. Her skin is 100% cotton interlock knit, and her waldorf head is made from
wool. Her body is stuffed with poly pellets and wool. (She is button-jointed, inside arms and legs. Her hair
is crocheted by me with mohair yarn, sewed down, and brushed out into short, fuzzy baby hair. Her features are embroidered with DMC
thread.
Anja's Christening Gown was sewn by me from a vintage pattern, with 100% cotton white broadcloth, and trimmed with
white lace, and orchid ribbon and ribbon roses. The bonnet and bloomers are made from the same materials. Her diaper underneath is made from fleece and interlock
knit, and attaches with Velcro tabs.
Anja is my first Nurture Baby, a doll I was very excited to create! Three years ago, I longed to adopt little orphan girl in Eastern
Europe, with the lovely name of Anja. She had a heart condition, and sadly, passed away before I was able to get to her. I tried to commemorate her beautiful life in this baby doll, and how I would have dressed her when she came home for her Christening.

Sam & Sara
Doll by Julianne Minnear
from... Nokomis, FL

Sam & Sara – made from the Preemie pattern designed by Vicki Riley of Dinky Baby.
The pattern included the diaper pattern and preemie had. The small stuffed animals I have had as I collect minis.
Sara is the sweet little girl with the pink teddy bear, green eyes and wispy blonde hair, while Sam has that devilish twinkle in his eye and blue eyes, a tuff of blonde curls on top of his head. They make me think of my own grandbabies.

Her clothes are all made by me from recycled clothing, toy doll is purchased, her hair is wool, she is lightly sculpted.

Helen
Doll by Nadene Kooyenga
from... Beloit, WI

Mark Twain said, "Nothing that grieves us can be called little: by the eternal laws of proportion, a child's loss of a doll and a kings loss of a crown are events of the same size."
Though the point of this quote is not about dolls, it does speak of the degree certain things in our life affect our hearts. I believe our relationship with God and people should be utmost. Whatever else gives us pleasure in life is icing on the cake. For me, one of those things is dolls.
Many of my childhood dolls were named Helen after my very kind 2nd grade teacher. Helen is made from Judi Ward's " Baby Bows" pattern. She is made of fleece and polyester fiberfill. True to the pattern instructions, Helen became a very plump baby by cutting the pattern with the stretch side to side. Her face is embroidered. Her hair is fun fur yarn. The dress, panties, vintage bonnet and dog were purchased at a thrift store.
